Visit The Nashville Zoo

Nashville Zoo

The sheer number of animals that can be found at the Nashville Zoo is amazing – over 2,764! From tigers and bears to reptiles and fish, the variety is also impressive. In addition to watching and learning about the animals, there are opportunities for hands-on experiences, such as feeding and petting different animals in the Critter Encounters, Lorikeet Landing, Shell Station, and Kangaroo Kickabout. These personal encounters bring the zoo alive for visitors of all ages.

Beyond Animals

The Nashville Zoo also boasts a number of attractions beyond animals, as if the animals alone aren’t enough! The Grassmere Historic Home and garden are a centerpiece of the Zoo and a beautiful landmark in the area. For young children, the Wilderness Express Train is a thrill, and the Wild Animal Carousel is designed for children of all ages. Children can also burn off excess energy in the awesome Jungle Gym, which is over 66,000 feet designed for running, swinging, and jumping.  The recently opened Soaring Eagle Zip Line is an exhilarating addition to the Zoo, allowing visitors to view animals and other sights as they cruise above the treetops.
