It’s important for kids to get involved in sports when they’re young. After all, it helps them develop a ton of skills that they may not be able to learn anywhere else. For example, they will learn all about discipline, taking responsibility, and treating others with kindness and respect. Isn’t that something you want for your own kids? Well, if you have a daughter who loves playing basketball, you may want to encourage that passion. Therefore, you’ll want to sign her up for the Battle of the Champions Invitational this year. This girls’ basketball tournament is your kid’s chance to show what she’s got out on the court. And more importantly, it’s a chance to make new friends and have a lot of fun! Check out more details.
This is the invitational’s first year, so you know it’s going to be a pretty exciting event. It will take place from Thursday, June 20, to Saturday, June 22, at multiple school gyms in and around the Clarksville area. One of the best parts about that is the fact that it allows your daughter to meet players from other schools, which is always a chance to make new friends. It’s for girls ages 12 to 15, so if your daughter isn’t in this age range you can’t sign her up. The registration deadline is coming up on June 12, so make sure you decide soon.

Form a Team
If your daughter wants to participate, she is going to have to be a part of a team. Registration costs for a team come out to $400, but there are discounts if more than one team registers at the same time. You may want to ask your child’s school if you can have more information on teams that have already been formed; that may be the best route to take. After all, there may be a school team that is already participating. But if not, why not start a team yourself? That will ensure that your daughter will get the chance to play at the invitational.
